Our bee school curriculum was developed by three experienced classroom educators. It is designed to meet the needs of a wide range of learning styles and abilities. We utilize a multidisciplinary approach by integrating environmental science and agriculture into art and nature-based activities. Our program will leave a lasting impression on people of all ages!
Would you like to come and experience beekeeping firsthand? We would love for you to come and learn more about bees by visiting our educational center in Auburn, Nebraska. We will explore the world of pollinators through fun activities and hands-on learning.
Your tour will start in our newly constructed educational center. Be prepared for fun as we buzz into the world of bees through entertaining skits, music, and demonstrations. Our “pollinator walk” will fascinate with interesting facts about native plants, bees, and other pollinating insects. Get an up close look at honeybees in our observation hive and prepare to bee amazed!
We welcome all age groups from Pre-K to High School. We adapt our information and activity offerings based on the number of children in your group and their ages. Students are broken into groups and rotated through several engaging learning modules. These can include but are not limited to: questions with the queen, pollinators, and food, nature exploration, beekeepers show and share, pollinator games, greenhouse activities, planting & garden activities, and themed crafts. Field trips are typically 2 hours in length but can be customized to suit your needs.
