Homemade Apple Honey Fruit Rollups

We strive to eat foods that are healthy and have natural ingredients. This recipe is for homemade fruit rollups. They are dye free, chemical free, and contain only 3 ingredients: apples, cinnamon (optional), and honey for pliability. We recommend using Aunt Bea’s Honey! My kids actually prefer these to their store bought counterparts. You do have to have a few different pieces of equipment to make these including a dehydrator with paraffin sheets and a good blender. Parchment paper can be used instead of paraffin sheets, but it’s a little tricky to use. The paper likes to curl up and the rollups are more difficult to remove.  I have a 9 tray dehydrator and I used 18 apples.

Step One: Wash and cut up your apples.

Step Two: Blend the apples until there are no large pieces.

Step Three: To each blenderfull, add a few tablespoons of honey and cinnamon to taste.

Step Four: Place your paraffin sheets on the dehydrator trays.

Step Five: Spread about 1/2 cup onto each sheet.  Try to spread as evenly as possible.  Sometimes I gently bang the tray on the top of the table a few times to help get the mixture even.

Step Six: Load the trays into your dehydrator and set the timer according to your dehydrator guide.

Step Seven: Peel the dried fruit from the paraffin sheets and roll!

Step Eight: Cut the fruit roll ups to the desired length for snacks and lunches.

Step Nine: ENJOY!
